OMA Progress





I went to see this exhibition at the weekend at the Barbican. It was all about the processes behind the architects practice OMA. There was a lot about experimenting with materials that was useful. You weren't allowed to take photos though which is a shame. One thing that stuck with me was a set of tests they had done to try to recreate the texture of sponge and scale 1:1. They used the effect in a Prada shop.

The exhibition used huge sheets of clear corrugated plastic as walls in some parts which I thought was quite effective. I had a look and they are reasonably cheap as a material we could think about using.
